a focus on successfully introducing and expanding

and improve care in the community, Burl Stamp
has led numerous initiatives to enhance hospitals’
ability to meet short- and long-term strategic
goals. From a comprehensive new hospital project
in Phoenix to numerous program development initiatives,
Burl taps expertise in communication strategy,
planning, market assessment and program development
to deliver superior results for health care providers.
With 20 years experience serving
a broad range of health care organizations, Burl’s
background includes extensive work in academic
medical centers, community hospitals and children’s
hospitals. Most recently as President and CEO
of Phoenix Children’s Hospital, he led the
development of the first freestanding children’s
hospital in Arizona. He has also held senior management
positions with BJC HealthCare and St. Louis Children’s
Hospital at Washington University Medical Center.
Burl received his Master of
Business Administration from the John M. Olin
School at Washington University in St. Louis.
His undergraduate degree in Business Administration
from Southeast Missouri State University included
majors in Communications and Marketing.

Burl is a Diplomate of the American College of Healthcare
Executives and has been active in a variety of health
care professional organizations, including the Arizona
Hospital and Healthcare Association, the National Association
of Children’s Hospitals and Related Institutions,
Child Health Corporation of America and the Arizona
Medical Education Consortium.
