Stamp & Chase was founded by Burl Stamp, FACHE, a 20+ year health care veteran with experience in community hospitals, academic centers and children’s hospitals. Prior to launching Stamp & Chase in 2003, Burl served several leading health care organizations in senior management roles. He developed the first strategic planning and marketing department at St. Louis Children’s Hospital, where he started the highly successful Answer Line in 1989 to provide reliable, accessible health advice to families. He went on to lead pediatric service line development for the BJC HealthCare. As president and CEO of Phoenix Children’s Hospital, he spearheaded development and construction of the first comprehensive, freestanding health care campus in Arizona dedicated to pediatrics. In the community, Burl is active in a number of not-for-profit, civic and professional organizations. His passion is for work focused on making the lives and future of children better, especially in health care and education. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Confluence Academy, a group of charter schools in the City of St. Louis working to improve urban education. Burl is the author of the book The Healing Art of Communication, a health care professional’s guide to improving communication, and is a frequent speaker on communication, the patient experience, leadership and marketing strategy in health care organizations.

Charlyn Slade is the Chief Clinical Officer of Stamp & Chase. In this role, Char works closely with clients to ensure all communication improvement solutions effectively - and respectfully - address the needs of clinical professionals at all levels. She is responsible for new product/service development, client relations and business development.
Prior to joining Stamp & Chase, Char was President of CarePages, the innovative online community helping patients, families and friends stay connected during a health challenge. She brings an extensive healthcare operations background including experience in nonprofit hospitals as well as managed care operations, program development, business planning and customer service. Char has worked both inside major health care organizations and in consulting. Charlyn is certified by NAACOG and ANA for excellence in the Practice of Neonatal Nursing and is a member of the American Organization of Nurse Executives. She holds a Master of Science in Nursing Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Illinois.
